Wheel Throwing Raku Pieces

When: Tuesdays at 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.
May 7, 14, 21, & 28 June 10*

Micah Cain, ceramics professor for Shorter University, and Lisa Ingram will teach this 5 week wheel throwing class focusing on building throwing skills through creating vases and more to be raku fired. Raku firing a is a low-fire non-functional firing process where pots are removed from the kiln at peak temperature and rapidly cooled to achieve beautiful glaze effects. One must experience it to fully understand the excitement!

This class is for those with some wheel experience to intermediate wheel students. Price includes classes, materials fee and web fee. All necessary materials will be provided.
